Who is behind Responsible Transportation Forum?
John Albertson
John is a 36-year Bellevue resident. He is self-educated and has been married for 22 years to Mary Albertson who is a Bellevue Schools employee. Mary and John have raised their three kids in Bellevue, and they all attended or attend Bellevue Public Schools.
John has 22 years experience in capital projects and business operation–14 years as a Microsoft campus project manager, technology planner and systems architect. He spent 15 years as WA State emergency worker and volunteer Search and Rescue responder.
In the past 5 years, John has been focusing on protecting Bellevue neighborhoods from blight and traffic encroachment, and monitoring the process of Bellevue City Government, and government finances, debts, and spending.
Stacie LeBlanc Anderson
Stacie LeBlanc Anderson is a member of Eastside Citizens for Responsible Development (ECRD), which organized the Quiet Pavement (Rubberized Asphalt) Forum in October 2005. Her community work includes advocating for improved noise abatement, minimizing transportation and development impacts on neighborhoods, and advocating for property and homeowners against eminent domain abuse. Stacie has served as a neighborhood advocate since 1998. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of Washington and a K-12 Teacher Certification from Seattle Pacific University. She lives with her husband and two children in Bellevue.
Renay Bennett
Renay is a long time Bellevue resident, wife, and mother. Renay’s community appointments and service include Member of the Bellevue Downtown Implementation Plan Citizen Advisory Committee, Member of the Bellevue Access Downtown Advisory Committee, Board member of Fiscal Accountability Involving Residents (FAIR), Past Chair of the Neighborhood Network North, member of the Enatai Elementary PTSA, Board member of the Chinook Middle School PTSA. Renay has worked for many years to protect and enhance the Bellevue community, particularly from traffic and noise encroachment, as well as promote fiscally sound and honest government.
Steve Broback
Steve is a lifelong King County resident and serial entrepreneur. He is a Bellevue High and UW graduate with degrees in Economics and Finance who lives in Woodinville with his wife and 2 children. Steve is founder of several successful technology related media and education companies, and is currently working with a technology conference startup. His environmental emphasis is on minimizing externalities involved with development and equity issues surrounding transportation expansion.
Walter Scott
Walter Scott lives in Bellevue Washington with his wife and two children, and works in the field of commercial investments and real estate. He has an economics degree from Washington & Lee University, and his community focus is on mitigation of urban highway noise and related used tire recycling.
